• We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee all financial and taxation aspects of our NGO. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in statutory compliance, including GST and TDS, and experience working within the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and finalization of accounts
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.)
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) accurately and on time
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filings (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.)
• Monitor and ensure compliance with NGO-specific regulations and reporting requirements
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income & expenditure statements, and audit reports
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
• Maintain proper documentation for grants, donations, and utilization certificates
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank statements, vendor accounts, and statutory liabilities
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and ensure organizational compliance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (Master’s preferred)
• CA Inter / CA / CMA / equivalent qualification is an advantage
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an NGO or non-profit organization

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance
• Familiarity with NGO regulations, FCRA (if applicable), and fund accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
